After a year and a half of unboxing, I am now in the process of decorating our home and since I don’t have a keen eye for accessorizing, I asked my mother to accompany me to a few of her favorite ‘budget friendly’ stores. One of our many stops was the store At Home (formerly Homegoods I believe) located in Norcross, GA. At first glance I was impressed because unlike most discount home stores, At Home is strategically arranged and clean. The store was easy to navigate. From pillows to wall decor, to rugs, to indoo and patio furtuniture; this store has it all. At Home’s price point is affordable, however there were a few items (i.e. curtains) I was able to purchase at a lower price at Burlington.
Our next stop was Hobby Lobby in Lawrenceville. I was a little hesitant because when I think of Hobby Lobby I think of scrapbooking and arts and crafts. As usual, mothers are always right. I was really impressed with the wall art decor. The selection was limited but the pieces were unique and the quality was exceptional for the price point. This particular location also offers on-site framing services, which is great if you need assistance picking out and framing your art or photographs.
Overall, I recommend both stores for accessorizing your home. If you haven’t been to an At Home store, definitely make time to go. You won’t be disappointed.
