Pretty in Pink and Lace

Why it works: it’s simple, elegant and worn with confidence. The key is to have an eye for what works.  Don’t shy away from separates.  When making a purchase try to envision at least 5 outfits to wear with items you already own, down to the acessories.  Don’t be afraid to play with textures, patterns and prints. This look shows that it’s ok to pair like textures and that accessorizing can be done tastefully. Lace is elegant on it’s own but the updo bun adds to the overall look. The versatility in these pieces are endless!  Picture the skirt paired with a crisp white or any bright button down cotton shirt, sleeves rolled, statement necklace, pumps, sandals, flats or ankle boots. Yes, even a nice structured tank top would work. Now, imagine the top with black or white base graphic or floral print shorts or crops, white jeans, legging ankle pants or perhaps softeen joggers. Dress the look with pumps or strappy sandals; or dress it down with espadrilles or flats. For those chilly evenings, finish the look with a cropped blazer. Endless possibilities!
